Warranty Policy

ERC stands behind the quality of its optical products. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage, duration, and conditions under which warranty claims are accepted.

1. Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies only to optical products, including:

  • Spectacle frames
  • Prescription lenses
  • Sunglasses sold by ERC

This warranty does NOT apply to medical services, including eye tests, consultations, or surgeries.

2. Warranty Coverage

a. Frames

Covered for:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Structural issues not caused by external damage

Warranty Period: 1 year from date of purchase

b. Lenses

Covered for:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Coating defects (e.g., peeling, bubbling under normal use)

Warranty Period: 1 year from date of purchase

c. Accessories

  • Accessories (cases, cloth, etc.) are not covered under warranty

3. What is NOT Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Scratches due to regular use
  • Accidental damage (drops, impact, bending)
  • Heat damage or chemical exposure
  • Improper handling or cleaning
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Lost or stolen products
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

4. Warranty Claim Process

To raise a claim:

  1. Contact ERC support
  2. Provide:
    1. Proof of purchase
    2. Description of the issue
    3. Photo/video evidence
  3. Submit the product for inspection (if required)

5. Claim Resolution

After evaluation, ERC may:

  • Repair the product, or
  • Replace the product (same or equivalent model), or
  • Provide partial credit (in specific cases)

Final decision rests with ERC after inspection.

6. Replacement Terms

  • Replacement will be provided only for approved claims
  • If the same product is unavailable, a similar product may be offered
  • Warranty does not restart after replacement (continues from original purchase date)

7. Turnaround Time

  • Inspection & resolution: 5–10 working days
  • Delays may occur depending on product availability

8. Limitation of Liability

ERC's liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the product. No additional compensation or refund will be provided beyond the product value.
